Reflection on Planning for Teaching Surface Tension of Water and Components of Water
While planning this lesson, I focused on using simple, relatable examples and experiments to explain the concepts effectively. For surface tension, I included examples like insects walking on water and the spherical shape of water droplets to illustrate cohesive forces.
For components of water, the Hoffman voltmeter experiment was chosen to demonstrate the electrolysis of water into hydrogen and oxygen, making the concept clear and practical. These activities ensure active student engagement and connect theory to real-life observations.
Reflection on Action: Surface Tension of Water and Components of Water
Teaching this lesson was a valuable experience.
