As a part of our BEd curriculum 2023-2025 batch, we a group of 12 students were asked to conduct a four day Community Service Program from 29/01/2024 to 01/02/2024. It was our first day of our Community Service Program. The camp was held at Rajeshwary Foundation , Jagathy. Our day started with a seminar by Adv Suresh Kumar about Geriatrics and gave a detailed description about the history and working of Rajeshwary Foundation. We were provided with refreshments. After the session we were divided into a group of 2 and allowed us to visit their 3 palliative care centres. All of them were neatly and maintained properly. The staffs take good care of the inmates. We were provided with healthy meals. After that we were given a chance to talk to the inmates and interact with them. We had a different experience from this camp.

On the second day we reached there on time. Tuesdays and Thursdays are OP days and there were so many elderly people assembled for consultation. We made all the arrangements for their comforts and helped the staffs. Those who consulted the doctor got free medicine. Then we met the inmates. We spend some time with them about their interests. A family sponsored the lunch and we served the meals for those who came on OP. There was an interactive session with Dr Elizabeth Neena Ommen. She talked us about some common medicines used as pain reliefs. That was an interesting session and we also shared our knowledge on palliative care. Then we had our lunch. After collecting details we left home.

The Science Exhibition at Kaviyattu College of Education was an inspiring event that showcased innovative ideas and scientific creativity. Organized by the students, the exhibition featured various models and experiments on topics like renewable energy, space exploration, environmental conservation, and chemical reactions. Each display highlighted the practical applications of scientific concepts, encouraging curiosity and problem-solving among participants. Visitors, including faculty and students, engaged in thought-provoking discussions, making the event both educational and interactive. The exhibition successfully fostered scientific enthusiasm and critical thinking, reinforcing the importance of experiential learning in education. My work for science exhibition❤️
